Make a Difference: Become a Volunteer or Donor for Project Cuddle

June 18, 2024

At Project Cuddle, we are on a mission to prevent baby abandonment and support pregnant women in crisis. Founded by Debbe Magnusen, our nonprofit organization has been a beacon of hope for countless women and their babies. By becoming a volunteer or donor, you can make a significant impact in the lives of those who need it most. Let us share the heartwarming story of baby Savannah to illustrate the life-changing work we do and how you can be a part of it.

The Story of Baby Savannah

Baby Savannah’s journey is a testament to the power of love, education, and support. Savannah was born prenatally exposed to drugs, facing numerous health challenges from the start. However, thanks to the incredible dedication of our team and the compassionate Rescue Family that adopted her, Savannah was given a fighting chance at a better life.

Before Savannah’s birth, Debbe personally wrote a comprehensive training manual and provided the Rescue Family with personalized training to ensure they were well-prepared to care for her. Debbe’s involvement didn’t stop there; she was present during Savannah’s birth, providing support and coaching to the Birthmom. In a touching moment, Debbe had the honor of cutting the umbilical cord, marking the beginning of Savannah’s new life with her loving Forever Family.

The Birthmom chose an open adoption, allowing her to maintain a connection with Savannah and her new family. This openness has fostered a supportive environment for Savannah as she grows. Debbe continues to receive updates from the Rescue Family, and each update fills her heart with joy, knowing that Savannah is thriving and loved.

Why We Need Your Support

Stories like Savannah’s are at the heart of Project Cuddle’s mission. Our work would not be possible without the generous support of donors and the dedication of volunteers. Here’s how you can make a difference:

Donate to Help Prevent Baby Abandonment

Your donations directly support our efforts to provide immediate assistance to pregnant women in crisis. This includes offering educational resources, emotional support, and practical help to ensure they have the means to make informed decisions about their future and the future of their babies. By donating, you help us provide:

  • 24/7 Crisis Hotline: Offering immediate support and resources to women in desperate situations.
  • Educational Programs: Equipping women with the knowledge they need to care for themselves and their babies.
  • Adoption Support: Facilitating connections between Birthmoms and loving Forever Families.

Volunteer Your Time and Skills

Volunteers are the backbone of Project Cuddle. Whether you can dedicate a few hours a week or a few days a month, your time and skills are invaluable to our cause. As a volunteer, you can:

  • Answer Crisis Calls: Provide a listening ear and essential information to women in crisis.
  • Help with Fundraising Events: Organize and participate in events that raise crucial funds for our programs.
  • Offer Professional Expertise: Use your professional skills to support our administrative, legal, and outreach efforts.
